Student Policies
Course Workshop/CancellationDue to limited space, all educational courses and workshops are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. All participants must be 18 years or older to register. Full course payment is required upon registration, and participants’ spots will only be reserved once application form and tuition fee are received. The Move Well Cafe reserves the right to deny registrations if the above requirements are not met.Any requests to withdraw from a course or workshop will NOT be refunded if request is made within 2 weeks of the course or workshop. For withdrawal requests 2 weeks or greater prior to the course or workshop, there will be a 25% administrative fee deducted from your refund. Course fees do NOT include the cost of course exams or taxes. The Move Well Cafe reserves the right to cancel a course at any time due to insufficient registrations or unforeseen circumstances. If cancellation by Move Well Cafe occurs, fees will be refunded in full amounts.
Additional Instructor Trainer FeesAll students are required to attend and actively participate in all hours of the course. Missed hours will need to be compensated through private sessions with an Instructor Trainer. If a student misses more than 5 hours, the time will need to be made up in full. If a student misses less than 5 hours, half the time will need to be made up at their own expense. It is crucial that make-up hours are promptly completed to ensure that any subsequent material taught has the appropriate prerequisite knowledge.Students have 6 months to complete any missed hours; exceeding this timeline results in complete forfeit of the course, necessitating its retake for certification examination eligibility. The Instructor Trainer will notify Merrithew of any incomplete course status at which point a note will be added to the student’s record. Upon confirmation by the Instructor Trainer of completed hours, a letter of completion will be issued to the student.Please note that workshops and the Intro to Anatomy course do not qualify for make-up hours; these must be retaken in full for full credit at the standard course fee.Please note that any photography or videography during course or workshop hours is strictly prohibited
